Beach Vacation Essentials

I’m back from the most relaxing vacation, and my heart is so full. Last week, I headed to the beach for a week of sun and sand with my family. Not everyone could make it (missed you tons especially, Dad!), but there were still 15 of us: mom, brothers, grandma, aunts, uncle, cousins, cousin’s husband, and boyfriends. It was a full house. And the entire week was filled with doing absolutely whatever we wanted, which included lots of bumming on the beach, swimming in the ocean, and heading down to Seaside to explore and shop. Welcome  to Wilder Beach Club!

Our house was right on the beach, which was incredible and convenient. Ocean views, the sound of waves, the breeze, the beach right there… such a great week! Below I’m sharing my beach must-haves for your next trip!

Coverup

I opted for a simple oversized white button down and rolled the sleeves up. It provided just enough coverage without getting too hot. It also gave me another shirt option for the trip. Perks of staying in a place with a washer and dryer!

Sandals

I’ve had black criss cross sandals for over a year now, and they’re my absolute favorite. They’re my most worn sandal since I got them. Their minimalist look means that they go with just about everything.

Sunhat

At the beach, you gotta protect your eyes and your face. I’m definitely in the hat-and-sunglasses camp. Whether it’s a straw hat or a baseball cap, taking some kind of hat to the beach is a must!

Sunglasses

During the summer, I can’t go anywhere without sunglasses, but no one should head to the beach without a pair or two. The ones pictured are a couple years old, and I wish they were still available because they’ve been so sturdy. Since they’re no longer available, I linked the closest version I could find.

Beach Blanket + Towel

I discovered Turkish-T about a year ago through blogging and had the chance to work with them earlier this year during a promotion I was doing at work. I’ve always had an obsession with Turkish towels. They’re beautiful and the quality is great! I thought the Beach Club Port Towel would be especially fitting for our #WilderBeachClub theme. I also took the Beach Candy Picnic Blanket, which I used as a blanket in the car and the beach house before I took it down to the sand with me.

Swimsuit

Going to the beach always seems to mean that you have a solid excuse to purchase a couple new suits, right? I love the simplicity of this black suit, balanced out by the super cute strap details on the back. I’ve linked the top and bottoms for you.

A Sand-friendly Tote

These little net grocery bags are good for just about everything, but I loved taking them to the beach. I always get annoyed with the sand that sticks in my bag, and these don’t even allow for that. I know what you’re thinking but doesn’t that mean I’ll get sand all over my stuff? Not really. Most of the time I’d set it on my beach towel or hang it on the back of my beach chair. The good news is, when my sandy hands reach in for something, the sand falls right through.

Waterproof Speakers

About a week before we all packed up to leave for #WilderBeachClub, I created a collaborative Spotify Playlist for everyone going on the trip so we could all have some of our favorite music pre-loaded for the trip. I took a couple Scosche floating waterproof Boom Buoy speakers so we could bring our tunes down to the beach without worrying about sand or water.

Water Canteen

On a hot day, there’s nothing like an ice cold drink. Fill it up with ice and your favorite La Croix (we drank them all week), and you’re good to go. I’ve had my Corkcicle for a couple years and I’m always suprised by how well this thing really works.
